Cody Rhodes has teased his next move after picking up another win over Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash last night.
Rhodes had also beaten Rollins at WrestleMania, making him 2-0 in their head-to-head battle, so it would make sense for this feud to be over and for Rhodes to move onto something new.
Well, it sounds like that may well be happening, as Rhodes has very heavily suggested that he has his sights set on the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
In a post-match interview uploaded to WWE’s social media, Cody Rhodes said:
“After the match, I did the generic symbol for wanting the belt – because it’s real. That’s what I want.
“To be able to get two (wins) on him, I think we can walk away on this one. Seth is an amazing, amazing Superstar wrestler, I can’t wait to see what he does next. Whatever he does now, good luck. I’m moving forward, I’m excited to see what that is – maybe the WWE Universe can tell me what’s next. I’m looking forward to it!”
So it sounds like that’s the end of Rhodes vs Rollins, but also this is WWE, and the next pay-per-view is Hell in a Cell, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
