Cody Rhodes has resurfaced in the midst of his WWE absence, having been away from the company since WrestleMania 41.
The WrestleMania main event saw John Cena win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Rhodes with the help of Travis Scott.
Since then, Rhodes has been completely absent from WWE programming.
He’s featured prominently on promotional material for Money in the Bank on June 7, which would seem to suggest a return is coming soon.
Amid his absence though, Rhodes has still been out and about, as he and wife Brandi attended the grand opening of the Universal Epic Universe theme park earlier today.
They were interviewed on the official Universal Orlando Resort YouTube channel.
Cody Rhodes wasn’t asked about and didn’t comment on his absence from WWE, but did talk about the rollercoaster called Stardust Racers. He said:
“Well, I’m honored. I truly am honored. The lowest point in my career has turned into joy for so many people.
“What’s funny is the amount of people who have come and been around here and shown their experience on Instagram or Twitter or TikTok or whatever, they all have messaged me individually about this coaster, and we haven’t rode it yet.
“So that’s the big get, is like, if it’s gonna be named Stardust, I want it to really take us to the fifth dimension. I’ve heard nothing but good things.”
Rhodes has reportedly been pitched to be part of a tag match or six-man tag match against John Cena, Travis Scott, and potentially Logan Paul, at WWE Money in the Bank.
