Cody Rhodes Wins ESPY & Walks Red Carpet Without A Sling

Cody Rhodes Wins ESPY & Walks Red Carpet Without A Sling WWE

Cody Rhodes may be out of WWE action at the minute due to injury but that didn’t stop him from picking up and award and raising eyebrows on the red carpet!

Tonight, ESPN hosted their annual ESPY awards which includes a category for “Best WWE Moment” which had some stiff competition in 2022.

Winning moment of the year, actually not his shocking performance at Hell in a Cell, rather his triumphant return to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

WWE’s prodigal son returned to a huge fan reception at WrestleMania 38 after a six year absence from the company.

While Cody was absent from WWE, he wasn’t away from the professional wrestling business, working for NJPW, ROH and eventually serving in an Executive Vice President role during the foundation of All Elite Wrestling.

While Cody Rhodes may have parted ways with AEW to return to WWE in January 2022, he continues to remain supportive of his former colleagues.

Call it wishful thinking what could just be a temporary red carpet related respite, however it was also notable that Cody walked the ESPY’s red carpet with beautiful wife Brandi Rhodes and without a sling.

There is not currently an expected return date known for Cody Rhodes however you can keep up to date with all of the WWE injuries with our Injury Tracker by clicking here.

Cody participated in a little active range of motion on the aforementioned red carpet, taking part in a tortilla challenge with ESPN’s Sportscenter which you can see below!

Lastly, do yourself a favor and check out the drip of the other WWE representative at the ESPYs, Titus O’Neil, who never fails to win with his red carpet looks!
