It is official! Find out another massive match just set for WWE’s next premium live event, Backlash live from Puerto Rico.
On tonight’s WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes’ opponent for Backlash was confirmed as both Rhodes and his current foe Brock Lesnar were in the same place at the same time.
While Cody came to the ring first, he was dressed to fight as he called out Lesnar but was instead met by Adam Peace.
Pearce, functioning in full inept authority figure capacity, told Cody he wasn’t medically cleared to be there but then upon hearing the music of Brock Lesnar hit, Pearce quickly explained that the pair needed to save the fight for Peacock!
Informing both that their match had been made official for Backlash, the match was also confirmed via graphic on the show as well after the segment.
Lesnar for his part was wordless in the segment that eventually devolved into Rhodes attacking helpless security in effort to get to Brock.
Before tonight’s WWE Raw, WWE announced a massive six man match for Backlash.
WWE’s premium live event Backlash is set to air from San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, May 6, 2023. You can read more about the event by clicking here.
