Cody Rhodes Pitches Change To WWE Entrance Theme

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes has pitched for a notable change to be made to his now-iconic entrance music.

While Rhodes has been using Downstait’s Kingdom as his entrance theme since 2016, the song reached a whole new level or popularity following the American Nightmare’s WWE return in 2022.

The intro to Rhodes’ entrance theme notes that “wrestling has more than one royal family”, and Cody Rhodes has pitched a wholesome change for this opening.

Speaking with Stephanie McMahon for Stephanie’s Places, Cody Rhodes pointed out that this audio sample was recorded shortly after he originally left the company.

Noting that he wants his daughter to voice this intro in the future, Rhodes said:

“I recorded that weeks after I left WWE the first time, and to this day we still use that audio sample.

“My goal actually is – I don’t know if she’d wanna do this – but the beginning of my song, the little voice over that exists, I’d love my daughter to do it at one point. Just because I want her to have a good experience in this.”

Kingdom will play at WrestleMania 41, ahead of Rhodes’ WWE Championship defence against John Cena.
