First Look At WWE’s Cody Rhodes In Hollywood Movie Releasing This Summer

A first look at WWE star Cody Rhodes in an upcoming movie has now emerged, with the Hollywood project set for a summer release.

It was reported in May 2024 that the former WWE Champion has landed a role in the new Naked Gun movie, with it noted that Rhodes was expected to have a cameo appearance in the movie reboot.

Over a year later, we now have footage of Rhodes in his role, facing off against Liam Neeson’s Lt. Frank Drebin Jr.

In the latest trailer – which you can view below this news story or at this link – Cody Rhodes can be seen looking as dashing as ever, albeit with a different hairstyle.

In the next shot, we see Liam Neeson’s character slam the WWE star’s head down, and when it comes back into shot, Rhodes has a different appearance, with bushier eyebrows and a squashed nose.

The Naked Gun will be released in theaters on August 1.

Cody Rhodes joins a number of current WWE stars who will be showing up in movies soon, with his former rival Roman Reigns set to appear in The Pickup which drops on Amazon Prime Video, also in August.

Jade Cargill is also set to be one of the central antagonists in the Jonathan Majors-led “True Threat” action thriller, while WWE interviewer Cathy Kelley and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be featured in action comedy Karate Ghost.
