WWE star Cody Rhodes has commented on his upcoming appearance set for the April 24 edition of Monday Night Raw.
Monday’s show will emanate from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. One star who is very familiar with this arena is Cody Rhodes, who wrestled one of the most significant matches of his career in Chicago last year.
Cody Rhodes gave a nod to his history with the Allstate Arena on Twitter, writing:
Hmmm
Tomorrow #WWERaw is from
@AllstateArena
I remember the last time I was there
Can’t wait
The Allstate Arena was notably the location of Hell in a Cell 2022. Cody Rhodes headlined the June 5, 2022 premium live event, wrestling Seth Rollins after suffering a completely torn pectoral muscle.
This ended up being Rhodes last match of the year, with the former AEW EVP stepping away from the ring for surgery and recovery.
He made his return in the 2023 Royal Rumble in January which he won, before unsuccessfully challenging for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39 in April.
Rhodes is preparing to clash with Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash on May 6.
