Cody Rhodes is locked into a feud with Kevin Owens that sees them head to the Royal Rumble in an Undisputed WWE Championship match.

With the Undisputed and ‘Winged Eagle’ Championships both on the line in a ladder match, plans have now emerged for the ‘go-home’ edition of WWE Raw.

The January 27 episode of WWE Raw will see Cody Rhodes return to the Monday night show ahead of the upcoming Ladder Match.

The official WWE preview for the January 27 episode of WWE Raw notes that Rhodes will be addressing the situation with Owens, stating:

“Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is returning to Raw en route to his title showdown against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble.

“What will The American Nightmare say about his bitter enemy?”

PWInsider Elite has now revealed that Kevin Owens will also be at the show.

According to their sources, Owens is also scheduled to be at the January 27 episode of WWE Raw ahead of the Ladder Match.

The report doesn’t specify what Owens will be doing, although the recent contract signing didn’t go smoothly at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25.

As can be seen below this news story, Owens took a cheapshot at Rhodes, leading to Shawn Michaels, who was mediating proceedings, to deliver Sweet Chin Music to the challenger.

After WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Rhodes joined Jey Uso, who was unable to defeat GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship, in the ring to address the fans at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
