Cody Rhodes Segment & More Set For WWE SmackDown March 17

More segments, including a Cody Rhodes appearance, have been announced for Friday’s edition of SmackDown.

With WrestleMania 39 just around the corner, all eyes are on Cody Rhodes, who’s set to challenge for Roman Reigns WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the April event.

Ahead of then, Rhodes will appear on this week’s edition of SmackDown.

Recapping Rhodes’ busy few weeks, WWE shared the following preview for the popular star’s appearance:

Two weeks from the biggest match of Cody Rhodes’ career, the WWE Universe will hear from The American Nightmare tonight on SmackDown.

Between his upcoming WrestleMania showdown with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, which seemingly gets more personal by the day, and his recent interactions with fellow Bloodline rivals Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, there’s no shortage of topics for Rhodes to address.

What will The American Nightmare, one of WWE’s most stirring orators, say when he’s got a live mic?

A mixed tag bout has also been announced for the show, with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio set to face off against Zelina Vega and Santos Escobar.

Dominik and Santos Escobar have clashed with one another over Dominik’s treatment of his father, soon-to-be Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.

Ripley is currently preparing to challenge for Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

Also on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus will battle for an opportunity to face Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
