What Happened With Cody Rhodes After Return At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event WWE

Here’s what happened with former WWE Champion Cody Rhodes following his return during the May 24 Saturday Night’s Main Event special.

Saturday’s show was headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship match, with Jey Uso defending his gold against Logan Paul.

The closing moments of the bout saw John Cena attack Jey Uso, before Cody Rhodes made his triumphant return to fight Cena off and allow Main Event Jey to retain his gold.

The show went off the air following Rhodes challenging Cena and Paul to a tag-team match at the upcoming Money in the Bank Premium Live Event set for July 7.

Fan footage has now emerged revealing what happened after WWE’s cameras stopped rolling. While Rhodes often gives lengthy speeches after his shows, this was not the case this weekend.

Instead, Rhodes told fans that is anyone is worthy enough to send the crowd home happy, it’s their World Heavyweight Champion, Jey Uso.

Rhodes left Jey Uso in the ring after saying this, as you can see in the video below, or at this link.

Cody Rhodes broke his social media silence after the show, taking to Twitter to write:

You’ve ruined enough… See you both at #MITB

Saturday Night’s Main Event marked Cody Rhodes’ first WWE appearance since losing the WWE Championship to John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Sunday on April 20.

John Cena was in action on the May 24 show, defeating R-Truth in singles action.
