The WrestleMania 39 status of former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has been up in the air since his match with Bray Wyatt was pulled from the show.
Originally, the two were set to face off on the show before Wyatt was sidelined, with Lashley still insisting that he would be a part of the show in LA.
On last night’s WrestleMania SmackDown, Lashley was victorious in this year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, last eliminating Bronson Reed to punch his name onto the trophy.
Even after the win, Lashley has continued to tease that he will be on the show, taking to Twitter after the show to once again claim he was ‘free’ for both Saturday and Sunday.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy was transferred from the Crypto.com Arena to SoFi Stadium, with Fightful noting that the trophy is set to be used for an entrance.
While not an official confirmation that Lashley will be a part of the show, that is as close to one as you can possibly get.
There are numerous opponents that could face off against Lashley, including currently absent stars who are rumoured for returns on the show.
The status of LA Knight, who is also pitching to give WrestleMania it’s ‘LA Knight moment’, is also still unknown.
