Conflicting Reports About Adam Cole Current Contract Status

There are conflicting reports regarding the current contract situation of Adam Cole.

Fightful Select is reporting that Cole’s current contract extension actually expires on Friday, August 27.

That would mean, with both AEW Dynamite and Rampage being held this coming Wednesday (Rampage is pre-taped this week), Cole cannot appear on either show.

However, PWInsider is reporting that Adam Cole has now departed WWE and is “100%” currently a free agent.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has made it clear that he’s been told repeatedly the report of Cole being a free agent right now isn’t true.

Fightful’s report adds that WWE is expected to make another offer to Cole for him to remain with the company this week after he had not signed a new deal as of this past weekend.
