UFC megastar Conor McGregor has once again been teasing a future crossover into the world of WWE.
Posting to Twitter, McGregor called out WWE’s top player Roman Reigns as well as his ‘wise man’ Paul Heyman, someone who has done his best to draw the attention of the ‘Notorious’ one in recent months.
The former two-weight UFC champ would even name a location for a potential confrontation, that being August’s SummerSlam from Detroit, Michigan.
McGregor tweeted:
“Summerslam I’ll pull in on the yacht. Roman and Paul out the bus.”
Other notable WWE related tweets from McGregor’s tirade included direct threats towards Heyman (or Hayman as McGregor referred to him as):
“I’m gonna suplex Paul Hayman on site.”
“You’re barking up the wrong tree, Paul Heyman. I’ve lost count of the number of bodies I’ve seen take their last breath. Watch your back for life.”
McGregor would also refer to both Reigns and Heyman as wannabes before stating that he was the only true “champ champ”.
Interestingly the entire thread of WWE related tweets was deleted by McGregor, seemingly quelling the speculation it is no doubt likely to generate.
McGregor to WWE has been something that has long been speculated, however, with the impending WWE/UFC merger and acquisition from Endeavor it seems not a matter of if but when.
Following news of the merger McGregor posted a mock-up picture of himself holding a UFC and WWE Championship, something that drew the ire of The Bloodline’s wise man Paul Heyman who called McGregor a ‘Roman Reigns wannabe’.
Heyman also called McGregor out during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show in which he stated that he doesn’t see the Irishman wanting a fight with Reigns and calling him a ‘little guy’ and ‘a clown’.
