Conflict backstage in AEW explored via a storyline for a change, as a popular faction seems to be on the brink of civil war!
After the first bout of the night saw members of the Jericho Appreciation Society taking on the Blackpool Combat Club, dissension spilled over to conflict backstage.
After Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta picked up the victory over Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia, a backstage interview segment broke down.
With Bryan Danielson initially airing his grievances and saying he would be taking all of his frustration out on Sammy Guevara during their match later.
One of the frustrations? Wheeler Yuta “talking back” to him, however after Yuta and Castagnoli appeared, tensions continued to rise.
Claudio interjecting between a warring Yuta and Danielson, saying they would sit down and talk about their issues later.
