Controversial Figure Claims WWE Is Punishing Keith Lee

The controversial Vince Russo told the Legion of Raw show on SK Wrestling that he is of the belief that WWE is punishing Keith Lee, explaining why he was defeated by The Miz and John Morrison on Monday’s episode of Raw.

Russo noted that he thinks WWE is of the belief that Keith Lee thinks too much of himself, with higher-ups making him lose and sending him back to the Performance Center being a way to “take him down a few pegs”:

Here’s the fascinating thing to me. Okay? We read earlier in the week that Keith Lee was sent back to NXT for training during the week. So when I’m seeing Keith Lee get beat here, this is them taking Keith Lee down a few pegs. I know how it works – ‘This guy thinks too highly of himself, let’s take him down a few pegs’.

Despite this, Keith Lee is reportedly being considered for a massive WWE Championship match at WrestleMania next year with current champion Drew McIntyre and former champion Brock Lesnar.

This comes after Vince Russo also claimed that Shane McMahon personally reached out to him to ask for his advice and thoughts on the infamous Raw Underground concept that debuted this past year.
