This week’s episode of NXT 2.0 was nothing if not noteworthy, with a show long angle based around Roxanne Perez being attacked in the ever-dangerous NXT parking lot.
The culprit was revealed at the climax of the show, when Roxanne’s best friend and Tag Team Champion partner Cora Jade stabbed her in the back with her title, allowing Mandy Rose to retain the title.
Cora’s turn was very polarising, with many questioning the decision to turn Cora just a week after her and Perez won the tag team championship, while still the reigning champions.
WWE shared two photos of the two on social media with the caption ‘a lot can change in a week’, which Roxanne responded to with a sad gif of Bayley, which prompted a response from the real Bayley, who showed her support for Roxanne, saying:
I hate Cora. She broke my heart
Bayley of course would never stab her best friend in the back, she’s a great role model after all.
Bayley has now been gone for over a year due to injury, and has reportedly been training in the ring at the WWE Performance Center ahead of her return.
