Corey Graves Compares NXT Star To Goldberg

Corey Graves sees a lot of Goldberg in NXT Champion Karrion Kross.

Speaking on a recent edition of After The Bell, Graves talked about who he thinks Kross reminds him of. His answer was former Universal Champion Goldberg. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:

“I’m going to say Goldberg, not in the same sense that made Goldberg, Goldberg but from the intensity. The physical stature sure, it’s easy to draw correlations, but that intensity, that stoic focus, the badass, incredible entrance. It’s captivating, the whole package with Scarlett, but standing on his own physically speaking very rarely goes out and has marathon classics, likes to do his work with intensity and focus in short order.”

Corey Graves also went on to clarify his words, saying they aren’t exactly the same.

“Not saying they’re the same, I’m just saying if you’re asking me who I am reminded of, I think Karrion Kross is such a unique character and unique entity, it’s almost impossible to draw a good comparison. I’m just saying from an objective perspective, looking at your TV screen, maybe you haven’t watched for a while and you go, oh, this guy kind of reminds me of Goldberg.”

Karrion Kross could be in line for a main roster call-up in the near future. He has been used frequently in dark matches and on Main Event in recent weeks.
