WWE Name Comments On Charlotte Flair Vs. Rhea Ripley Not Headlining WrestleMania WWE

A WWE name has commented on Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley not headlining WrestleMania 39.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39, there was heavy speculation on which match would main event Night One of the Showcase of the Immortals.

Ultimately, it was learned that The Usos vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships would close out the first night of Mania over Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Ripley would go on to defeat Flair to win the gold in a highly regarded bout on the show, while Zayn and Owens beat The Usos to claim the tag titles.

Speaking on the latest episode of WWE After The Bell, Corey Graves heavily praised Rhea and Charlotte for their performances. He said:

“I didn’t experience that as a commentator, I experienced that as a fan. I was the biggest fan inside SoFi Stadium during Rhea and Charlotte.”

“Listen, we get in the weeds here on ‘After The Bell,’ and Charlotte was very open about wanting the main event spot on WrestleMania Saturday. Obviously it went to the tag team title match, no complaint from me, both were completely deserving.”

“But what it felt like to me… was those two women walked the aisle, got in the ring, and very, very loudly and angrily declared, ‘Follow this.'”

After calling the bout one of the greatest WrestleMania matches ever and recalling that he told both of them that it was one of the best he’s ever called, Graves concluded:

“I have a feeling people will be talking about Rhea and Charlotte for a long time to come.”
