Corey Graves Thinks Roman Reigns Is Close To Eclipsing Brock Lesnar

Corey Graves has recently stated that he believes the current Universal Champion Roman Reigns is close to surpassing Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant competitors in WWE history. WWE commentator Corey Graves has theorised that Lesnar’s legacy could be overshadowed by The Tribal Chief.

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Graves discussed a criticism many fans have surrounding Lesnar. Comparing Reigns with The Beast, Graves said:

“I love, love, love Brock Lesnar as WWE or Universal or any champion because Brock Lesnar (raises the value) People go, oh, Brock’s not here every week. That’s okay. Bruno Sammartino didn’t defend his title every week, he didn’t do it on T.V. for free every week. It was an attraction, it was a video game boss in real life, Brock Lesnar was that dude.

“That being said, Roman Reigns is very close, dare I say eclipsing Brock Lesnar, but you can’t leave Brock out of the conversation.”

Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Edge at Money in the Bank. It has been reported that Reigns will do battle with John Cena at SummerSlam in August.

Another report stated that it seems unlikely that Lesnar will return for SummerSlam. You can read more about recent talks between Lesnar and WWE here.
