Corey Graves Takes Shot At Chris Jericho And AEW On Smackdown Commentary

During a 24/7 Championship segment on Smackdown Live, Corey Graves took a shot at Chris Jericho and AEW.  Drake Maverick lost his title to Bo Dallas earlier in the night.  However, the title wouldn’t stay lost for long.

Later on in the night, Maverick was able to catch Bo Dallas with a roll-up in the ring to win the title back.  Unfortunately, R-Truth was hiding in the King of the Ring set and won the title again from Maverick.  This prompted Corey Graves to say:

“I’m sure Maverick’s going to grab his wife and take a limo to a chain restaurant since he won and lost his title in the same night.”

This sneaky, little quip seemed like a jab at Jericho who has had his AEW Title stolen from his limo which he took to Longhorn Steakhouse after his win at All Out.  You know, the night he won and lost his title.

Most of the jabs from WWE haven’t really hit the mark.  However, this one probably hits a little close to home.  It is quite joke-worthy on a night where they name their first world champ, the title gets lost.  Guess Jericho shouldn’t have left his title in the limo.  I wonder if he’s asked the Young Bucks for a thank you for that.
