Corey Graves WWE Contract Expiry Date Revealed

Corey Graves WWE Contract Expiry Date Revealed WWE

An update has emerged on the WWE contract status of Corey Graves, who recently vented his frustrations about his position in the company.

Upon Raw’s move to Netflix, the commentary team became Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were allocated to SmackDown.

This essentially left Corey Graves as the odd man out, as he was moved to NXT to join Vic Joseph and Booker T at the announce desk.

However, the day before his second NXT show, Graves tweeted:

Imagine chasing your dream.

Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.

Then you dedicate your life to something ‘dream adjacent’ and being pretty f**king awesome at it.

And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.

Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.

He then didn’t appear on NXT the following night, despite the fact he’d promoted an appearance in a follow-up tweet teasing that he had “a lot to say”.

Despite some fans initially thinking otherwise, all reports point to the situation being legitimate frustration from Graves, and not part of some creative plan to bring him back for an in-ring return or anything of that nature.

In a new update, Fightful Select reports that Graves has two years left on his current WWE contract. Fightful’s sources stated that they hope he stays with the company.

For tonight’s WWE Raw, Pat McAfee is absent due to ESPN football duties, and will be replaced by Wade Barrett – not Corey Graves – who’ll call the show alongside Michael Cole.

Graves also wasn’t the commentator for the most recent WWE Speed match despite him calling the vast majority of those up until now, with that role filled by NXT Level Up announcer Blake Howard.
