A major update has emerged regarding the return of Corey Graves to WWE television.
At WWE NXT New Year’s Evil (January 7) Corey Graves was officially unveiled as the new third man at the NXT commentary table alongside the established duo of Vic Joseph and Booker T.
While Graves would perform his duties as normal on the night, one week later he took to Twitter to vent his frustrations relating to the change to his role, before teasing that he had “a lot” to say on the January 14 episode of NXT.
Graves would ultimately no appear on that show, leading to more uncertainty surrounding his future in the company and return to TV.
With PWInsider stating that Graves was once again not scheduled to appear on tonight’s NXT (January 21), a follow up report from Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan is saying the opposite.
According to the new report, Graves is listed for commentary on tonight’s show and is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando for rehearsals beforehand.
Fightful also added an update on the legitimacy of Graves’ frustrations amid speculation that it could all be a part of a storyline, noting that those close to Graves have given no indication that the situation is a work.
We will provide further updates on Graves’ status as/when more information becomes available.
