Last night’s episode of SmackDown saw Ronda Rousey issue an open challenge for her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, could Bayley be next?
While formerly known as Raquel Gonzalez on NXT, since transitioning to the main roster Raquel has immediately been thrust into the well-deserved spotlight, being the first the answer Ronda Rousey’s open challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
While Ronda emerged victoriously from the match, it wasn’t a squash match as they were given ample time and Raquel looked strong leaving fans to wonder, who’s next for Ronda?
According to one WWE insider, he hopes it’s Bayley!
Pointing out on Throwing Down with Renee and Miesha, that Bayley is the last of the Four Horsewomen to tangle with Ronda Rousey, former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide said:
“But in that case, I think it’s also the possibility of returning Bayley, who’s been kind of like sitting in the sideline for a while and she’s the one person out of the four horsewomen who haven’t really got to touch Ronda yet, so I think the fact that she has gotten through Sasha, Charlotte and Becky, not really Becky so far, but I think she has got to build something great with Bayley.”
Bayley remains missing from WWE television despite teases from the star herself as she frequently gets into Twitter spats with a variety of WWE stars, including most recently Indi Hartwell from NXT 2.0 leading to some speculation that is where fans may see Bayley next.
Either way, come back Bayley.
