It is being reported that there was a recent COVID-19 outbreak among names in the WWE NXT brand that has led to several changes.
As per Fightful Select, there were several positive tests on September 9.
It was added that a number of the trainees at WWE’s makeshift training facility tested positive. Of course, no names were mentioned.
A number of training classes last week were cancelled as a result of the outbreak. It was noted that the policy there did not call for masks to be mandatory in the gym area or in the ring.
Jon Alba is also reporting that the outbreak may have led to creative changes having been forced upon the booking of NXT. Fightful noted that creative had to be “conservative” and consider the issue for some aspects of the last tapings. WWE knew about the positive tests before last week’s show.
We will keep you up to date with any further details as they become available.
