It’s being reported that one of AEW’s top stars is set to be involved with creative for the upcoming new show, AEW Collision.
The status of CM Punk is uncertain (click here for the latest update on that), but Fightful Select has provided details of another former WWE World Champion’s involvement.
That man is Bryan Danielson, who, according to Fightful, will be “contributing” to creative for Collision.
As has been reported previously in the Wrestling Observer, the AEW creative team is pretty much made up of Tony Khan, QT Marshall, Sonjay Dutt, Pat Buck, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Dean Malenko, and recent new addition Will Washington.
There are also a number of AEW’s biggest stars who have a big influence on their own creative directions, namely Punk and Danielson themselves, as well as Kenny Omega, MJF, Chris Jericho, the Young Bucks, Jon Moxley and FTR.
Danielson did do some work in a creative capacity for WWE towards the end of his time with the company, and according to Fightful, people that worked with him at that time had “great things to say”.
It had previously been reported in the Observer that Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club team was planned to be a leading focus of Dynamite, not Collision, when some kind of roster split comes into effect.
Here are the results from the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite:
