AEW
The criminal case against an AEW star has been dismissed and he is free to move on with no further action or concerns about the situation.
Cash Wheeler, real name Daniel Wheeler, turned himself into police on Friday, August 18, 2023 following an incident on July 27 where he was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
The situation was described as a “road rage type incident” where Wheeler “allegedly flashed a handgun at the alleged victim”.
Wheeler was set for pre-trial and trial hearings this month, but they’ll no longer be happening.
As reported by PWInsider, the prosecution has opted to abandon the case.
The case is closed, and Wheeler “can move forward without any additional worry about legal issues stemming from the situation”.
If there are any further updates we’ll keep you posted, but that should be the end of the story.
Wheeler teams with Dax Harwood, Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston (although there are injury concerns for Kingston) against The Elite at AEW Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 26.
