Former UFC Champion Cris Cyborg Discusses Possible Jump To Pro Wrestling UFC

Former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg has commented on a possible jump to pro-wrestling.

Numerous MMA fighters have transitioned to wrestling over the course of their careers, with the likes of WWE’s Ronda Rousey and Matt Riddle stepping into the squared circle following UFC runs.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Cyborg commented on Rousey’s WWE success. Noting that she’s open to the idea of a wrestling run, she said:

“If a few fans would like to see me one-day doing pro wrestling, I’m going to do it.

Cyborg noted that she has trained in the ring before with AEW’s Thunder Rosa, stating:

“It’s a different sport. I love challenges. If I have the opportunity, for sure, I’m going to train and do my best. You know, I have some training before with Thunder Rosa. It’s fun.”

Cyborg currently holds the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Champion, winning the gold in January 2020.

Ronda Rousey has held the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles, most recently winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. Rousey dropped the gold to Liv Morgan at Money in the Bank in July.

The former UFC star recently shared her thoughts on her recent booking, revealing whether she wants to pursue a WWE title again.
