Another cross-promotional championship match has seemingly been made for the upcoming AEW Wrestle Dynasty event.
AEW, NJPW, STARDOM and CMLL are set to come together for the first-ever Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5 in the Tokyo Dome, the day after NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19 pay-per-view.
On last night’s NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed show, David Finlay defended his IWGP Global Championship against Kevin Knight, before throwing out a challenge for Wrestle Dynasty.
Finlay issued an Open Challenge for his title at Wrestle Dynasty, throwing out the challenge to anyone from AEW, ROH, CMLL or STARDOM.
Finlay also mentioned WWE in the promo, which is obviously incredibly unlikely to happen.
Before we get to Wrestle Dynasty, Finlay is set to defend the IWGP Global Championship against Yota Tsuji at Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4.
NJPW’s NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi also challenged AEW’s International Champion Konosuke Takeshita to a double title match at Wrestle Kingdom 19 on the show.
'AEW, ROH, CMLL, STARDOM, WWE, I don't care!'
