Current AEW Star, Former WWE Stars & More Announced For Upcoming NJPW Tournaments

NJPW and tag team wrestling fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks as New Japan has announced its Tag Team League lineup.

As reported by Fightful, the Super Junior Tag League will start on November 21 and conclude on December 14.

Ten tag teams are set to compete with the winning team challenging for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

The current champions are TJP and Francesco Akira.

Fightful reports that the full lineup will be:

Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira & TJP) – IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions

CHAOS (Lio Rush & YOH) (YOH: 5x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champion, 3x Super Jr. Tag League winner)

Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI & Titan)

BULLET CLUB (Ace Austin & Chris Bey)

Flying Tiger (Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask) (1x IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions)

HOUSE OF TORTURE (Dick Togo & SHO) (SHO: 5x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champion, 3x Super Jr. Tag League winner)

Wild Hips (Ryusuke Taguchi & Clark Connors) (Taguchi: 7x IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champion)

Suzuki-Gun (DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) (Kanemaru: 6x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, 2021 Super Jr. Tag League winner)

Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA (KUSHIDA: 2x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, 2012 Super Jr. Tag Tournament winner)

Running concurrently with the Super Junior Tag Team League will be the World Tag Team League.

Again, ten teams will compete with the winning team getting an opportunity for the IWGP World Tag Team Championships at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

The current IWGP World Tag Team Champions are FTR, the team of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
