Ever since WWE announced that NXT UK would be going on hiatus last year, the status of many of it’s stars has been up in the air.
While many names were let go from the company, those that weren’t have slowly begun migrating over to the US NXT branch, including Tyler Bate, Ilja Dragunov, Nathan Frazer, Isla Dawn and most recently Stevie Turner.
However, some NXT UK names have remained in limbo for the past few months, with the most confusing one being Jinny.
Jinny was moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com, despite remaining under contract with the company.
Now, Jinny has taken to Twitter today (January 14) to announce her retirement from the ring.
She tweeted:
After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots.
Thank you for all the memories. I’ll remember for them forever.
Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I’m excited about what’s next
Jinny had been speculated about a potential run on the WWE main roster due to being the wife of current Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
