Current WWE Star Pitched Ninja Character To Dusty Rhodes In NXT

If you’ve been watching WWE of late, you know there have been some ninjas running around WWE Raw led by Akira Tozawa. However, if one WWE Superstar had her way, then there would have already been a ninja character on the show.

During a Halloween costume try-on haul video on her YouTube channel, Lana revealed she pitched a ninja character to Dusty Rhodes. Here’s what she had to say:

“Guys. Funny story, actually. I have to tell you about…Alexa Bliss can testify for this because she was sitting there and possibly Charlotte, Bailey, and Becky, and Sasha. We were in a skull session, which is where we, like, basically watch, um, our matches from live events or training. I had put in a pitch to Dusty Rhodes. If you guys don’t know who Dusty Rhodes is, he is a legend in wrestling. Iconic. He was artistic director in NXT. Like, teaching us acting and helping us develop characters.

“So, I, basically, like, every day had a new character pitch, like, a full poster board vision of the character and everything. I basically pitched the idea for me to be a ninja. I pitched, like, doing this Harley Quinn thin. Like, the original Harley Quinn with her face covered. He was like ‘you can’t cover your face.’ I just became a super mean Russian. Crush.”
