The President of the CW, the future home of WWE NXT has commented about feeling good having grabbed the rights to the show.
While the CW is looking to bolster the viewership by including more sports based offerings, one new addition in October 2024 will be WWE NXT.
In an interview with Deadline, the President of CW Dennis Miller commented on the network snagging WWE NXT before streaming giant Netflix got involved with WWE.
“We feel really good about having grabbed that before the big folks stepped up and wrote monster checks. It was some validation of the value of the franchise there.
“The ratings on NXT have continued to grow as we watch them before they come to the network. So, I think on that level, great.”
Miller would go on to add that the partnership between WWE and Netflix could potentially help the CW since the streaming giant was ‘ubiquitous’ in the United States.
WWE NXT continues to deliver enthralling storylines including a brand new pair of tag team champions despite being a rather odd couple.
