Former WWE star Dakota Kai (Charlie) has commented ahead of her upcoming return match against an AEW star in March.
After being released from WWE back in May, Dakota Kai has spent some time away from the ring, not competing in a match since March.
However, her return match was announced last night, with her now going by the ring name Charlie, competing for Will Ospreay’s Pro Wrestling EVE Wrestle Queendom event in a match against AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander.
Speaking on a Twitch stream last night, Charlie was asked about her upcoming match with Statlander, to which she said that Statlander is someone that has been on her bucket list ‘forever’.
She said:
“Yes I’m excited to wrestle her, she’s been on my bucket list for like forever. And I’m excited to go to London, and have some cheeky Nandos.
“I know, she’s awesome, I’m excited.”
Statlander captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event, defeating ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm in a four-way match also involving Jamie Hayter and Thekla.
Hayter is also set to be in action on the Wrestle Queendom event, facing off with Miyu Yamashita.
