Former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has named the current WWE NXT star he believes will become a megastar.
Many of the WWE main roster nowadays have come through the NXT system, with the Performance Center currently the breeding ground for the next generation of WWE stars.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest also went through NXT, where he captured the NXT North American Championship prior to his call-up in 2021.
Speaking on a Fanatics Live signing via UpUpDownDown, Priest was asked which current NXT star he looks forward to facing in the future.
Priest said that a match against current NXT North American Champion Oba Femi is ‘inevitable’, with him saying Femi will become a ‘megastar’.
He said:
“He was legit one of the first ones that came to mind when you asked the question (Priest said when reacting to idea of match between himself & Oba Femi). Ridiculously impressive, right? Especially the fact that his limited time in the business and what he can do already. That’s gonna be a megastar.
“You can just tell sometimes and I mean, it’s all set up for him to just — he just has not take his foot off the gas but, he’s gonna be fine so, I feel like that’s gonna inevitably happen anyway… Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that one (he laughed)”
