Botches can happen in matches, and although they’re not always all that obvious, they can be pretty painful. Just ask Daniel Bryan.
During last night’s SmackDown Live show, Bryan teamed with Andrade “Cien” Almas to face AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali, with the latter shocking the crowd by pinning Bryan after an 054 splash.
Unfortunately however, the splash didn’t go completely to plan, and as you can see from the below clip, Bryan took a very painful looking knee to the ribs.

You can actually see Ali check if Bryan, who curled up in pain, was OK before pinning him, having realised that the move didn’t go completely to plan.
Bryan required help from WWE doctors after the match, and was assessed backstage. Thankfully it looks like no lasting damage was done as he appeared on the pre-taped Christmas Day show in a segment with R-Truth.
No blame can be put on Ali for this one, as the botch was barely even noticeable. Two inches either way and it would’ve been a perfectly executed move.
