After he was banished from SmackDown this past Friday, here’s the latest update on the WWE status of Daniel Bryan.
Daniel Bryan has now been moved to the “alumni” section of WWE’s website, no longer recognised as a member of the current roster.
We’ve seen many times in the past that this is often done with storylines like this, and it of course doesn’t necessarily indicate that Bryan is done with WWE.
Recent examples include Sonya Deville who took time away following SummerSlam last year after losing a “loser leaves WWE” match to Mandy Rose, and even more recently Roderick Strong as part of an angle on NXT.
It’s no secret that Bryan has been planning to cut back on his in-ring work for some time now, and this seems to be the start of that process at the very least.
Bryan lost a Universal Title match to Roman Reigns on Friday with the added stipulation that if Bryan lost, he’d be gone from the blue brand.
