Daniel Garcia Addresses Memes & Jokes Regarding Potential WWE NXT Move WWE, AEW

Daniel Garcia has responded to fan-made memes and jokes regarding his potential move to WWE NXT prior to re-signing with AEW.

Before addressing the crowd in Washington on the October 8 edition of AEW Dynamite, there had been much speculation amongst fans regarding whether Daniel Garcia would be signing a new contract with AEW or making the move to WWE.

While Garcia would announce on the show that he was in fact remaining in Tony Khan’s company, many fans had been joking on social media that Garcia would make the move to WWE, simply to join up with the attractive women on the NXT brand.

Speaking to Cameron Hawkes on the South Congress podcast, Garcia dismissed the memes, saying they undermine how great NXT and its roster really are.

Garcia explained:

“I get why people think it was funny and it kept blowing up and people kept sending me things. To me, it completely undermines how great NXT is.

“I feel like NXT right now is hot, it’s on fire, they have such great talent, men and women, international talent from all over the world. People of all different experience levels.

“When people kept saying I’m just going to sign there because there are a bunch of attractive women, I think it undermines the work rate, the talent of the entire roster.

“They have a great roster on their hands. They’re doing a bunch of great things over there. It undermines and takes away from what they’re doing over there.”

Since making his decision on his future Garcia has made his intention to capture championship gold in AEW very clear, teasing going after Jack Perry’s TNT Championship.

On this week’s AEW Dynamite in Salt Lake City (October 23), Garcia and Private Party will take on Perry and the Young Bucks in trios action.
