Professional wrestling’s ‘Forbidden Door’ has never been wider, with many NJPW stars such as KENTA, Minoru Suzuki & Jay White among others walking through in recent months.
AEW stars Darby Allin, Adam Cole, Thunder Rosa and Orange Cassidy were in attendance at New York Comic Con, where each of them were asked about their dream opponents from the Forbidden Door.
Darby Allin answered first, challenging Zack Sabre Jr. He said:
“I want you to give me Zack Sabre Jr. You know where I am, Zack. You know where I am,”
Adam Cole replied next, and had his eyes locked on one of NJPW’s top stars. He said:
“I’ve never had the chance to have a singles match with this person; I would love the idea of Adam Cole vs (Kazuchika) Okada.”
Orange Cassidy was up next, but he decided to ‘pass’ in true Orange Cassidy fashion. Thunder Rosa was next up, focusing her eyes on someone that might quite not be possible right now, current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Io Shirai. Rosa said:
“She’s from Japan, but she’s in the other company. It’s not Asuka. My original trainer in Japan; Io Shirai,”
The excitement of the Forbidden Door continued last night, when Thunder Rosa herself, along with other AEW stars, walked through the door on the GCW Fight Club show.
