AEW may have another of their future stars locked in, as Darby Allin presented an AEW contract to a rising independent star at last night’s (February 12) Defy show.
In the main event of the DEFY Fifth Anniversary show, Christopher Daniels defeated Nick Wayne to become the interim DEFY World Champion.
After the match, AEW’s Darby Allin entered the ring and offered Wayne an AEW contract at the age of 16, which he accepted. This makes Wayne the youngest ever active wrestler to be signed to AEW.
After the match, Shane Strickland made an appearance on the show to confront Allin.
