According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE backstage interviewer Dasha Fuentes has been released from her WWE contract.
Fuentes, who joined WWE in 2014, was in New York for WrestleMania weekend and has served as a member of the broadcast team in recent years. She last appeared on Raw last week, so her departure is somewhat out of the blue.
Fuentes posted on her social media that “it’s been an interesting couple of days” and said she was going on vacation, as well as posting a quote on Instagram that read:
“In the end, she became more than what she expected. She became the journey, and like all journeys, she did not end, she just simply changed directions and kept going”
Last night on Raw, Sarah Schreiber handled the backstage interviews with Charly Caruso, so it seems she has already been replaced. WWE has not commented on Fuentes’ apparent departure but her roster page on WWE.com has been removed.
