The date of WWE’s next premium live event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may have been revealed, according to a new report.
The company’s most recent premium live event in the Kingdom – WWE Crown Jewel 2022 – took place this past Saturday, November 5.
WWE Crown Jewel 2022 broke the record for the highest global audience for a WWE event held overseas, surpassing the UK-based premium live event WWE Clash At The Castle which was held on September 3.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, we may now know the date of the next event in the Kingdom.
He tweeted:
The working plan is for WWE to head back to Saudi Arabia in May 2023, Fightful Select is told.
WWE has a 10-year deal with the Saudi Arabian government to produce events in the Kingdom as part of the country’s Saudi 2030 initiative.
At WWE Crown Jewel 2022, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns defeated YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The Usos also retained their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against the Brawling Brutes, to ensure the continued dominance of the Bloodline.
