Daughter Of WWE Hall Of Famer Wants To ‘Earn’ Success In Wrestling, Not ‘Cheat’ WWE

The daughter of a WWE Hall of Famer says she really wants to “earn” her success in wrestling, not “cheat” due to who her father is.

In the Fall of last year, Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling announced that Sherilyn Guerrero, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, was beginning her training to become a pro wrestler.

Speaking with The Magic of Wrestling, Guerrero insisted that she plans to “earn” her success in professional wrestling, because that’s what her father would want her to do.

Guerrero said:

“The plan is to wrestle. It’s very fulfilling to me. I feel like I’ve gone through so many traumas physically and mentally that it’s finally feeling like a great balance on something to do with my life, my body, my mental. It’s a healthy thing that I do now and it feels healthy.

“So, the plan is to wrestle, but, I mean we’ve always been performers. I feel like I can really fit in anywhere to be honest. That’s my plan, to be a wild card because I want to have all the training and I want to know different hats, because I really think I’m made for this and I don’t think God would have this path right now if it weren’t for a reason.

“So I’m really just trying to say, ‘Okay, let me work on this, this and this.’ Because I want to show them that I’m not here to cheat anything, I really want to earn it. I know my dad would want me to do the same thing.”

Sherilyn Guerrero Recalls Painful First In-Ring Training Session

Whilst reflecting on her experience inside the ring thus far, Guerrero recalled her first training session in the ring, saying the experience was both painful and “exciting.”

She continued:

“Hard. My neck hurts. Back hurt. It was funny, I mean it wasn’t too far off, I’ve had a background in cheer and dance my whole life. I think doing the rolls, doing handstands, kind of just the athleticism wasn’t too far off. But this cardio, oh my gosh, you get your ass whooped. So I was definitely out of breath, blown up as they say. But it was exciting.

“It was like, ‘I want to try this again,’ and the more I’ve done it, it’s really cool. It’s a fun thing when you go with people that take care of each other and are there for the same reason and want to work with each other. It’s a really cool, fun business and sport.”

Sherilyn Guerrero Potential WWE Future

Guerrero’s legendary lineage, as well as the fact that she’s training at WWE ID partnered school Reality of Wrestling will have fans’ hopes high that she one day makes the jump to WWE.

During the same interview, Guerrero named Rhea Ripley as a dream opponent and targeted 2026 to make her in-ring debut.

She also said that she would rather team up with Liv Morgan than be her opponent, interesting comments given that Morgan is partnered with Dominik Mysterio – who was claimed to be Eddie Guerrero’s son during a custody battle WWE storyline with Rey Mysterio in 2005.

We will provide updates on Guerrero’s future prospects in the wrestling business and WWE as more information becomes available.
