Dax Harwood has now commented on the CM Punk situation, noting that he wants Punk to return to the ring to finish his story.
Punk hasn’t appeared for AEW since he was suspended following a backstage altercation that took place following his verbal tirade at the All Out media scrum last September.
Following rumors about his departure and potential return, Punk recently took to Instagram to call out several AEW names in a story post that was quickly deleted.
A report following this indicated that ‘majority’ of the locker-room don’t want Punk back.
Speaking with Wrestling Inc, Dax Harwood stated that he still believes that Punk could return in the future, noting:
“Well, I’ve always been a pretty optimistic person, even to the point where it’s failed in my life and made me fail. I feel like yes there is, and I feel like there could be a point that he comes back.
“I do also feel that he should come back and he has to finish his story. If he comes back, I want him to come back with a clear head and a clear mind, because he deserves to have a finish to his career that he wants.
“If him coming back and … finishing his storybook career here gives him a peace of mind. Then I think it should happen and will happen.”
Jon Moxley recently responded to Punk with an expletive-filled retort, which you can read about right here.
