Dax Harwood Opens Up About FTR Wrestling Future AEW

Dax Harwood has provided an update on the future of FTR, ahead of his and Cash Wheeler’s potential AEW departures.

Harwood and Wheeler are currently taking some time off while they consider their futures ahead of their AEW contracts expiring in April.

Speaking on his FTR with Dax podcast, Harwood noted that whatever he and Wheeler do next will likely be their final major wrestling venture.

Harwood said:

“Today marks month number one, one month off doing nothing. Having fun, enjoying my family time.

“The biggest decision of our career is in April. Whatever we do in April I feel will probably be the last thing we ever do in wrestling, period.

“At least on a national level in the ring for sure. It will be the last ever thing we do in wrestling.

“So, I’ve got to take a lot of things into consideration as far as what we’re going to do, where we’re going to go, and I have an idea with my heart what I want to do, I have an idea with my brain, and usually I say lead with your heart, but sometimes, especially in this business, man, you lead with your heart, and you get your heart broken.”

Harwood and Wheeler last wrestled for AEW on the December 21, 2022 edition of Dynamite, losing to Austin & Colten Gunn.

Their most recent match for any promotion was for NJPW at the January 4 Wrestle Kingdom 17 event, where they dropped the IWGP Tag Team Title to Hirooki Goto & Yoshi Hashi.
