An AEW star hopes that fans can respect their decision when their contract expires.
It’s no secret that FTR’s AEW contracts are set to expire in April 2023. Following months of back and forth, the duo have announced that they made a decision.
On this week’s episode of FTR With Dax podcast, Dax Harwood discussed what the major factors were in where they ultimately made their choice. He said:
“I think it’s going to benefit my family, I think it’s going to benefit our fans as well, and I think they’re going to benefit, enjoy what we decide to do.”
“If we decided to stay with AEW, so many of the other WWE fans would say that, you know, that we were too afraid to go back … On the flip side if we decided to take our career and go back to WWE, the AEW fans would say that we turned our back on the company that made us.”
Despite not letting fans know what their decision is, Harwood says he and Cash Wheeler just one thing from the fans regardless of whatever their choice is. He stated:
“I just hope that ultimately all wrestling fans can respect the decision that we make — that we have made — because it’s going to benefit us.”
FTR made their return to All Elite Wrestling to confront and beat down AEW World Tag Team Champions The Gunns at AEW Revolution.
Austin and Colten Gunn will defend the titles against Top Flight on the March 22 edition of AEW Dynamite.
