WWE legend DDP has reacted to John Cena’s heel run so far, as we’re now halfway through the last year of his in-ring career.
Cena is set to retire from in-ring action at TD Garden in Boston this coming December, and only has just over 20 appearances left before that final date.
However, instead of spending the year on a heartwarming farewell tour, he instead turned heel at Elimination Chamber and has vowed to “ruin wrestling” by the time he’s finished.
In an interview with CasinoBeats.com, DDP reacted to Cena’s heel run so far, saying:
“I’m really interested to see where this whole Cena thing goes, because the more he pushes them away, the more they love him because now they look back and say, ‘wow, this guy really did put this company on his back for well over a decade, and did it really well.’
“He says ‘you say I can’t wrestle’. Yeah, he can wrestle his ass off. He can work his ass off.”
Cena recently retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton at Backlash after winning it from Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
