Dean Ambrose Injury Update!

Dean Ambrose Injury Update!

Where is Dean Ambrose? Not much has been seen or heard from the ‘Lunatic Fringe’ since last December, after he and Seth Rollins were attacked by The Bar and Samoa Joe which hospitalized the former WWE Champion.

While this was purely an angle, Dean himself was fighting a legitimate injury. He had suffered a High Grade torn triceps which would later require major surgery to repair. The estimated recovery time was 6-9 months. According to Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ambrose first suffered the injury at the TLC pay-per-view in 2017, 2 months prior to him being written off of TV.

Since then the man has remained pretty much silent, openly admitting he hates all things social media (however, it doesn’t stop him popping up on his wife’s Instagram feed every now and again). He was even pulled from his appearance at Fan Axxess at this year’s Wrestlemania festivities with no official word as to why.

Reports from PWInsider state that Ambrose relocated to Alabama on a temporary basis to intensify his rehab efforts, and has also been sighted at the Performance Centre down in Florida. However, there is still no word on when he will make his return. Many speculate it will be around SummerSlam season, with Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle both confirming in separate interviews that he would be likely making a return at some point this summer.

However, with The Bar and Samoa Joe all now on Smackdown Live, it does raise a question of what will they do upon his return? Will he turn heel on Seth Rollins and continue what they started before he was injured? Re-reunite the Shield? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

What do you think they’ll do with Ambrose when he returns? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. Don’t forget to check out our Discord chat, where you can talk to all of your favorite WrestleTalk writers.
