Dean Ambrose released a video onto his Twitter account yesterday that confirmed the return of the Jon Moxley character he used on the independent scene before his WWE debut. However, some people are still adamant that this is a work and Dean will be returning to WWE after a short hiatus as a reformed Jon Moxley.

However, Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has said that the former WWE Champion is indeed returning to the indies as Jon Moxley sometime in June. It is being reported that the man formerly known as Dean Ambrose has started accepting independent bookings, some of which will be announced in the very near future.
It should be said that it is expected Moxley will only work with a promotion if he feels he has 100% control over his character’s direction. Many people have speculated that Dean will end up at AEW or NJPW, but it is not being reported that he is talking to either promotion. WWE are still hoping that he will return in the future.
