IMPACT Wrestling star Deonna Purrazzo is set to enter negotiations for a new deal.
The company has quite a few current champions and top stars that aren’t under contract or are coming up soon.
Fightful Select (subscription required) reports that IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champion Deonna Purrazzo’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2022. As a result, Purrazzo and IMPACT Wrestling are set to actively discuss her future with the promotion and enter negotiations for a new deal.
Sources familiar with the situation indicated that IMPACT believes they hold an option year on Purrazzo’s contact, but it isn’t clear cut.
Deonna’s VXT tag team partner and co-IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green is still a free agent and hasn’t signed a contract with the company.
Green continues to work for NWA, GCW and several independent promotions, while also appearing on IMPACT Wrestling television weekly.
Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green defeated Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie to win the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championships at the IMPACT Emergence special on August 12.
VXT is not the only current champions in the promotion not under contract as IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers had their contracts expire in July, but they have committed to work with the company until late August.
We will have further updates on Deonna Purrazzo’s status with IMPACT Wrestling when they become available.
