Following his impending departure from the company, WWE star Scrypts is set to make his debut in another company.
On April 30, it was reported that WWE had chose not to renew the contract of NXT star “Scrypts,” real name Sidney Akeem. Scrypts was part of the O.T.M. faction alongside Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Jaida Parker. He is a former WWE 24/7 Champion and was also known as Reginald and Reggie.
On May 21, Game Changer Wrestling announced that Sidney Akeem will wrestle on their upcoming shows on June 15 from Los Angeles, on June 29 from Dallas and on July 19 from St. Louis.
Although Akeem’s WWE contract does not officially expire until the beginning of June, his last match on TV came on April 9 on NXT where he lost to NXT upstart Je’Von Evans.
Despite departing the company, Akeem recently revealed that the door was still open for a future return.
In his four years in WWE, Akeem captured the now defunct 24/7 Championship on four different occasions.
